Relief
 When disaster
strikes, Adventist Community Services collaborates with the local and regional
emergency management agencies to provide relief.
 Typically, ACS's relief response includes
the collection and distribution of non-perishable food, clothing, cleaning
supplies, personal care items, and items for the special needs of infants and
small children, such as diapers and toys to comfort them.

After the September 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon, Adventist Community Services of Greater Washington
collaborated with more than fifty organizations in the Washington Metro area
with the help of the United Way of the Nation's Capital to provide
relief services to secondary victims of this attack.
